Premier League: Chelsea facing points deduction after brawl at Manchester City

Chelsea may be hit with a points deduction, after being charged over player behaviour for the fifth time in 19 months.

The Blues and Manchester City have already been charged by the Football Association, for failing to control their players over the mass brawl that ensued at the Etihad last weekend.

The incident saw two City players – Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho – sent off.
No Chelsea player was dismissed, but the Stamford Bridge side are in danger of becoming the first top-flight team since 1990, to suffer the grave consequences.

Real Madrid set club record of 35-game unbeaten run

Real Madrid fought back to defeat Deportivo La Coruna 3-2 on Saturday night, a result that ensured they set a club record of 35 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Zinedine Zidane’s team had equalled the record, following their 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Banana seller kidnaps, sells three-year-old boy for N450,000 in Imo

A three-year-old boy is said to have been kidnapped and sold for N450,000 by a banana seller identified as Chibuzor Eze in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
The suspect, who was said to be a family friend of the boy, hails from Umuifa village in Oru-East Local Government Area of the state.
A family source told Punch that the boy was playing around the family compound at about 8am when she allegedly pick him and took the boy to Owerri.

Champions League: Real Madrid finish second behind Dortmund, Juventus win

Real Madrid bungled an opportunity to finish top of Group F, after they could only draw 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
Karim Benzema gave the hosts the lead in the first half, finishing off Carvajal’s cross. The French striker double their advantage after the break with a bullet header.
However, Dortmund fought their way back into the tie, through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus.
